Job description
The Role
The Business Planning Coordinator serves as the strategic link between Tesla’s global manufacturing hubs and the Korean market. In this role, you will be responsible for aligning vehicle supply with market demand through rigorous data analysis. You will perform deep-dive studies of the automotive sector and related macroeconomic trends to determine the optimal vehicle mix for the Korean market. Your insights and ad-hoc analyses will directly dictate the weekly production requests sent to our factories, ensuring we build the right cars at the right time to satisfy customer demand.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Build Planning: Manage the submission of vehicle production requests to global factories. You must justify these requests by synthesizing internal backlog data with external market conditions.
- Market & Competitor Analysis: Conduct continuous and ad-hoc analysis of the Korean automotive market, including competitor pricing, EV subsidy changes, and economic indicators. You will use this data to predict shifts in demand and adjust build plans accordingly.
- Demand Forecasting: Analyze customer order trends and conversion rates to forecast future inventory requirements. You will be expected to identify potential supply gaps or overstock risks before they occur.
- Data Management & Reporting: Maintain the integrity of sales and inventory databases. Prepare detailed reports for key leaders that visualize supply chain health and validate the logic behind build strategies.
Requirements
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.
- Analytical Aptitude: Strong ability to interpret complex data sets and draw logical conclusions. You must be comfortable performing ad-hoc analysis to answer unstructured business questions.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel is required. Experience with SQL, Tableau, or other program language proficiency is a strong plus.
- Language: Fluent in Korean; Business-level English is essential.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ability to work with confidential information and maintain high ethical standards.
- Agility: A self-starter who can adapt to changing priorities and deliver analysis under tight deadlines.
