[Frontend]

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Front End Developer to join our bioinformatics team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing the user interface for our bioinformatics platform.

[Backend]

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Computer Engineer / Backend Developer to join our bioinformatics team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the backend part of a cloud service and API development for our bioinformatics platform.

[Frontend]

Responsibilities:
Design and develop responsive web applications for our cloud service.
Collaborate with backend developers to ensure seamless integration of the front-end with the backend.
Develop and maintain reusable and modular UI components.
Implement and maintain high-quality user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design.
Conduct user research and usability testing to continuously improve the user experience.
Work in a team environment using agile methodologies to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of software products.
Stay up-to-date with new trends and emerging technologies in front-end development and UX/UI design.
Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Strong experience in front-end development using the following technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
Experience with a modern web development framework (NextJS, React, Svelte, etc.)
High proficiency with CSS
Strong understanding of web accessibility standards and how to implement them in the front-end.
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Demonstrate a strong interest in the subject matter (bioinformatics) of the service/system you are developing.

[Backend]

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain the backend architecture of our cloud service and API development.

Collaborate with the front-end development team to ensure seamless integration of the backend with the user interface.

Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for data retrieval and manipulation.

Collaborate with bioinformaticians and biologists to design and implement data-driven services.

Work in a team environment using agile methodologies to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of software products.

Stay up-to-date with new trends and emerging technologies in backend development.

Required qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.

Strong experience in backend development, with proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript or C++.

Experience and knowledge with MySQL or any other Relational Database.

Experience with server management or computing resource management.

Experience with several web backend projects.

Experience building RESTful APIs.

Strong understanding of data structures, and software design patterns.

Experience with version control systems such as Git.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Demonstrate a strong interest in the subject matter (bioinformatics) of the service/system you are developing.

Strong experience with TypeScript/React/NextJS
Experience using tailwind.
Experience with data visualization libraries such as D3.js
Experience with HTML Canvas and SVG
Experience building backend/API
Experience with relational databases

[Backend]

Experience with multiple programming languages

TypeScript/React/NextJS experience

Experience with relational database schemas

Experience with database paradigms other than relational databases

Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud or Azure.

Network knowledge.

Experience using/building Docker or any other containerization tool.

Experience building their own frontend.
