As the Associate HR Generalist in South Korea, you will support the HR Manager to deliver proactive and effective end-to-end HR services to both corporate and store team members across the Asia Pacific region. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a lean and dynamic HR team in a fast-paced environment, and have exposure to both local and global interactions with the Foot Locker team.


Responsibilities

Recruitment

  • Be involved in providing and executing innovative recruitment strategies to attract talented individuals
  • Produce regular reports to analyse recruitment data and increase direct hiring
  • Review and update job descriptions to increase hiring efficiency and attract candidates with the right fit

HR Policies, Advisory and Compliance

  • Be the first point of contact for HR enquiries, advising team members according to HR policies and processes
  • Update HR policies, procedures, and document templates as and when required in line with legislation
  • Ensure and advise on compliance with local requirements by keeping up-to-date with (new) legislation

Onboarding and Exits

  • Conduct HR orientation for new joiners and transferees, providing them with clear information and a positive experience
  • Review and update HR orientation materials accordingly
  • Manage the probation review and confirmation process
  • Manage the exit process and conduct analysis of feedback received from exit interviews

Payroll

  • Generate and review monthly employee reports to ensure accurate information is delivered to the Payroll team for processing
  • Liaise with the Payroll team to ensure new joiners and leavers are captured for processing first and final pay
  • Advise the Payroll team on payroll-related matters according to HR policies and processes

Administration

  • Maintain employee records in the company HRIS (PeopleSoft) and audit information to ensure data integrity
  • Maintain and update personnel files, leave records, claims, subsidies, and recognition awards
  • Co-ordinate and administer all employment documentation
  • Run various reports and analyses, and prepare presentation slides as required for the business
  • Capture meeting minutes and ensure outcomes are accurately documented and recorded in systems/folders
  • Support team members accordingly with work injury reporting and claims
  • Assist with mailing, filing, photocopying, and any other administrative tasks for the team
  • Assist the HR Manager to administer and execute HR initiatives and projects (e.g. delivery of training and development activities, roll-out of compensation and benefits programs etc.)
  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks and projects as required


Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in general HR Administration capacity
  • Able to communicate fluently in both English and Korean
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Diploma/Degree in HR or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of employment, payroll and tax-related legislation for Asia countries, especially South Korea
  • Is a confident self-starter with a proactive attitude, able to demonstrate high levels of initiative and motivation
  • Have exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism in all dealings
  • Is a team player who looks at the bigger picture and focuses on team success
  • Able to multi-task and manage assigned tasks in an assertive, efficient, and timely manner
  • Able to deal with confidential matters and with discretion
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and able to work with HR data to conduct analysis
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and customer service skills
